Please join us as we welcome Mike Hess, Founder and Executive Director of the Blind Institute of Technology, as he facilitates a workshop focusing on active listening. Mike helps you gain incredible insight from someone without sight. What if you had a way to remove subjective listening, siloed decision-making and visual distractions from your team's day? This multi-sensory, experiential, team-building communications workshop addresses four of the most common communication issues in corporate America: distractions, ambiguity, obstacles and competition.
The Blind Institute of Technology is a nonprofit organization that provides workforce development and inclusive employment solutions that prepare people with disabilities, and the employers who hire them, for success in the workplace.
This workshop is part of the BUILD Diversity Certificate program but all faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
