Women of Spirit & Action Awards

This annual program, sponsored by the DePaul Women's Network, encourages DePaul women (faculty, staff and students) to nominate colleagues who have contributed to their growth and development. This event is an homage to St. Louise de Marillac for her tireless commitment to the service of others. In addition to faculty and staff, DePaul students are invited to attend this event.

We will honor the influence of St. Louise de Marillac and the DePaul WSA nominees with an award ceremony and a talk from keynote speaker Jackie Lomax, founder of Girls4Science (G4S). Lomax started G4S in 2009 after learning her daughter wanted to be a dentist and discovering that there were no resources available to help her daughter achieve her dreams. G4S is the only all-girls science program in Chicago for girls ages 10-18. G4S focuses on developing girls’ confidence and interpersonal skills in order to overcome barriers that prevent them from achieving both personal and professional goals.
