On October 7, 2020, we gather as a university community to celebrate the life and living legacy of Dolores Huerta, an activist for social justice. This year, we are honored to feature Dolores Huerta as our keynote speaker who will share her narratives of Latinx civil rights and the struggle for justice. You will have an opportunity to view the film "Dolores" a day before the virtual celebration on October 6.
The annual Delores Huerta Celebration is a campus tradition, and its goals are to discuss relevant contemporary issues impacting the Latinx community and cultivate collaborative opportunities to serve as allies for social justice. In addition, the program commemorates Latinx Heritage month and highlights the university's Latinx resources to include academic departments, centers, and student services.
All faculty, staff and students are welcome to participate.
