Friends of the Poor 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 9:00am

2400 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614

For nearly two centuries, the poor and needy of the world have found a friend in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This year, the Society will hold its fourth annual nationwide Friends of the Poor® 5K Run/Walk. Pledges made on behalf of registered walkers in a given community will benefit those most in need in that same community. Walk or run a mile in someone else’s shoes and find out how good it feels to give.

The Office of Mission and Values has funded the full registration fee of $25 for the first 20 student runners/walkers who signed up. We have already sold out of the free registration, but you may register at the $25 rate. This fee is to be paid by the participant and will not be reimbursed by the university. The registration fee covers the cost of the race, and T-shirt from the event.
