Global Conversations: Humanity in crisis: a pandemic of extremist governments, refugees, immigrants, and the steep increase in inequality between men and women.

Global Conversations sessions are 90-minute lively Zoom synchronous sessions in which students from several international partner institutions interact in a guided, facilitated manner on a list of global topics.

Addressing the increase of extremist governments around the world and the resulting maltreatment of refugees, immigrants, and the growing pandemic of gender inequality, we discuss the reasons for a new extremist wave on the occident and strategies that promote more humane and equal societal structures. Our discussion examines how societal structures have been exasperated by the COVID pandemic as well as the similarities and differences between a variety of societies.
