Illustrator for the Makerspace

Lost on how to design your own custom projects in the makerspace? Learn how to use illustrator for a variety of machines.

About this Event

Participants will learn: vector software basics, basic visual rules, and how to export to various formats/saving conventions for the software we use with machines such as the CNC Router, Laser Cutter, and Vinyl Cutter. LAPTOPS ARE PROVIDED. You can bring your own if you prefer, but we will have the laptop cart if you need one. Instructions for individual machines can be found on our website at irl.depaul.edu.

Arrive on time! While this is NOT an authorization workshop, late arrivals will be turned away. Walk-in's will be accepted for no-show spots. There is no quiz at the end of this workshop, but again, leaving early means missing out on valuable knowledge.

This workshop is free and open to all currently enrolled DePaul University students/staff/faculty. We do not accept those who are not DePaul affiliated. Alumni must provide an alumni ID card. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to machine use.

Participants seeking disability-related accommodations are invited to contact idearealizationlabdpu@gmail.com before the workshop so we may have the proper assistance and accommodations prepared.
