Please join us for panel discussions on the current state of affairs of homelessness within our city and what you can do to help dispel the misconceptions and combat the systemic criminalization of homeless individuals. The goal of this event is bring awareness to the complexity of defining homelessness and being transient and their impact on issues including self-reporting, health, work and education obligations, and access to resources. Our hope is to spark conversations among the community about how we can assist in combating homelessness and help with advocacy efforts that support survivors.. . . . This program is facilitated through the partnerships of the Vincent G. Rinn Law Library, the Center for Public Interest Law, and the Journal for Social Justice. Special thanks to our external partners: DePaul USA, Chicago Lights, and the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.. . . . This program will be recorded for publication in DePaul’s Journal for Social Justice.
