Mike Reiss, co-creator of The Simpsons, will be talking about the animation world and the culture surrounding the popular show. He will examine how the show got off the ground in the 1980's and how it grew to have a successful movie two decades later. Mike has won four Emmys and a Peabody Award during his eighteen years writing for “The Simpsons”. In 2006, Reiss received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Animation Writers Caucus. He is also credited with writing My Life in Ruins, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Horton Hears a Who, and the short Queer Duck. Come enjoy some free food with an exciting speaker!
