Participants will learn how to shift their active thinking away from a failure/deficit mindset to one of success and prosperity. From Student Leader to Skilled Professional: A Resume Workshop . . Whether you are a Front Desk Assistant, Resident Advisor, volunteer or Secretary of a student club, each student leadership role operates as a vital organ in the overall success of an organization. Before you rethink or reconsider whether you should include that ‘minor’ responsibility, learn how to re-frame every task as a value, strength and supported by outcomes. . . Learn how to translate your student leader role in a resume that maximizes your ability to transfer skills essential in the workplace that is informed by 21st century skills that employers are looking for. By building your personal board of directors, you take mentorship to the next level by curating a sounding board of multiple mentors. Learn how to identify the right people in your life, or how seek out new folx, to help guide you on specific decisions, direction, and overall personal/professional support. In this workshop, you’ll take a deeper dive into identifying what type of support and guidance you need to be successful, and then look at how to leverage your network and/or grow it to help fill those personal board positions.. . . .
