As part of this musical tribute, we invite all string players to participate in the two large ensemble works that will end the program: "Nimrod" from Elgar's Enigma Variations, arranged for a 4-part viola choir and Élégie from Tchaikovsky's String Serenade in C.
All violists (students, alumni and friends) can participate in the Elgar, and all string players (violin, viola, cello and bass) can participate in the Tchaikovsky. Music will be provided for both. These works will be conducted and there will be a short rehearsal at 2 pm immediately prior to the concert.
