The College of Science and Health has invited Jay Labov, Ph.D. to DePaul to share his insight and experience with DePaul faculty, students and staff over the course of a week-long series of sessions and conversations.
After serving as a traditional academic for 18 years at a small, liberal-arts college in rural Maine, (professor, associate department chair, elected chair of the College’s Division of Natural Sciences), Dr. Jay Labov relinquished tenure and moved with his family to work for more than 23 years at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (the National Academies) in Washington DC. This immersion into the nexus between STEM education and education policy led him to completely rethink notions of what education, both at the postsecondary and K-12 levels, should and can be.
All sessions will be hybrid (in-person and on Zoom). All Zoom sessions will use this link: https://tinyurl.com/JayLabov
