A Conversation and Q&A with TikTok Historian Shermann “Dilla” Thomas

Chicago historian Dilla, as he is affectionately called, has become a Chicago social media sensation. His history videos on everything Chicago have been viewed over 8 million times, and he has amassed a following of 150,000 followers across all social media platforms. Through the power of storytelling, Dilla is helping to change the narrative locally and nationally about Chicago's value to the world. In this conversation with DePaul professors Horace Hall and John Joe Schlichtman, he will share some of his insights followed by an audience Q&A.
