“UNA MIRADA AL ARTE CUIR PERUANO CONTEMPORÁNEO” / "A LOOK AT CONTEMPORARY PERUVIAN CUIR ART" (Presentation will be in English)
This talk presents a survey view of the cuir visual art being produced by contemporary Peruvian artists. Through a decolonial and inclusive lens, the presentation addresses the different ways in which artists and activists, through their work, reflect on the complexities of gender, race, sexuality, history, and political and social discourses in contemporary Peru.

Ph.D. in Hispanic Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Illinois, Chicago with a concentration in Gender and Women's Studies (2022). Received her MA in Latin American Literatures from the University of California, Davis in 2015 and BA in Spanish Language and Literatures from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2013. Her research interests include language teaching, Latin American literatures and cultures, digital humanities, transnational and decolonial transfeminisms, visual arts and gender studies.
