Housing is more than just four walls- it can be a foundation for dignity, safety, and belonging.

This virtual conversation brings together researchers from the DePaul Migration Collaborative (DMC) to explore the human right to adequate housing as defined by the Covenant for Economic, Social, and Cultural rights. This panel will ask attendants to think through the Vincentian Question: “What Must Be Done?” by encouraging its audience to reflect on the experiences of vulnerable communities. Specifically, we will explore the intersection between adequate housing and the experiences of refugees and forced migrants. From local to global examples, housing policy insights, challenges, and research, panelists will share their expertise.

Join us as we reflect on housing as a social good, not a commodity, and discuss practical steps toward promoting stability and security for displaced communities.
