Join us on Thursday evening, October 25, on the Loop campus as we welcome Consul General of Ireland Brian O'Brien, Northern Ireland Bureau Director Norman Houston, and the European Union's U.S. Delegation Head of Political, Security & Development Section Dearbhla Doyle to discuss the potential long-term implications of Brexit on the IRE/UK/EU relationship. This event follows hard on the heels of the European Council Meeting in Brussels Oct. 17, where it became clear that issues around the border between the UK and Ireland in Northern Ireland have yet to be resolved. The discussion will be moderated by Mary McCain, director of the Irish Studies Program.
