Come learn with former AWS and Microsoft executive now DePaul marketing instructor Geoff Nyheim on how best to assess, plan, pursue, and launch your career path. This is an interactive, hands-on workshop designed for ALL students in ALL majors whether you are a freshman just starting your journey or a senior graduating in March or June. Food, including healthy options, will be provided. We will do real work: as individuals, in collaboration on 3 person teams, and to share challenges and best practices across the entire group. All examples used will feature current DePaul students and alums.
The agenda includes:
a.\tSelf-Assessment: answering the “Who am I and what are my strengths, purposes, and interests?” question.
b.\tAcademic and Career Planning: answering the “What learning and career paths are the best fit for me?” question.
c.\tResume: how best to write my story, value proposition, and objectives.
d.\tLinkedIn: how best to promote my story, value proposition, and objectives.
e.\tInterviewing: how best to tell my story, value proposition, and objectives.
f.\tInternship/Job offer: how to successfully negotiate for what’s most important to me.
g.\tOptional session focused on careers in sales to explore options, plan pursuits, and share tips for success
