The Office of New Student and Family Engagement (NSFE) is recruiting Chicago Quarter Staff Professionals for Fall 2023! Staff Professionals are an essential piece of the Chicago Quarter program (Discover and Explore). You may have seen Discover classes traversing the city during Immersion Week, or you’ve seen groups of first-years weaving through the city with their Explore classes during fall quarter. Chicago Quarter classes are a unique opportunity for first-year students to gain invaluable experience from a teaching team consisting of a faculty member, a university staff member or graduate student, and an undergraduate peer mentor.
As a Staff Professional, you have the opportunity to support incoming students as they transition to DePaul. This position places you in the classroom as a first-hand resource to incoming students as they navigate their first few months in college. Staff Professionals continue to participate in the program year after year because they value the relationships built with their students.
Staff Professionals come from all over the university – and you could be our newest recruit! This position is open to university staff members and graduate students. Within the DeUB Registration is the job description that provides more detail on the role and its time commitment. Folks must attend an information session in order to apply. Attending doesn't commit you to anything, so feel free to attend if you're interested in learning more about the role.
If you have questions, please contact Michelle Maurer at MMAURER5@depaul.edu or call the Office of New Student and Family Engagement at 773-325-7360.
