Do you want to build legal skills and help the community?
If so, please join us for the Center for Public Interest Law’s fall skill series focused on client interviewing skills. Students will have the opportunity to gain important legal training regarding client interviewing, spotting legal issues and writing strong case memoranda. Debi Filipovich and Phil Mohr, attorneys with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, will conduct a three-part training session on campus on Tuesdays: 9/25, 10/2 and 10/9 from 12:00—1:00 p.m. in Lewis 801. Students will then be assigned three clients from CVLS and will complete the client interviews and case memos. This is an outstanding opportunity for students at every stage to either learn new skills or refine and enhance existing skills and obtain direct client interaction experience at the same time.
