DESCRIPTION:Codex Design Foundations is a series of friendly\, guided\, han
 ds-on coding experiences intersecting basic design principles and fundament
 al computer programming concepts for beginners. Participants play and exper
 iment with the relationships and behaviors of form\, pattern\, space\, colo
 r\, sequence\, text\, data\, and interaction\, using introductory level com
 puter programming concepts: coordinates\, variables\, incrementation\, cond
 itionals\, recursion\, arrays\, and encapsulation. This workshop also inclu
 des contextual and cultural overviews of different computer programming lan
 guages and their particular attributes and applications\; the meaning of cr
 eative coding\; examples of art and design projects using code to express\,
  reveal\, and disrupt\; and resources for going further with the material i
 ntroduced. This workshop uses the Processing programming language. Processi
 ng is a free and open-source language appropriate for beginners. \n\nFacili
