About this Event
1010 W Webster Ave
Igor Stravinsky wrote about the relationship between chorus and orchestra in reference to his 1930 Symphony of Psalms, stating that, “the two elements are on an equal footing, neither outweighing the other” in order to create an organic whole. This same ambition will remain when DePaul Concert Orchestra and Symphonic Choir collectively presents Stravinsky’s deeply moving and spiritual work. The program will also include a cappella sacred choral works by Victoria, Lukaszewski, Bruhn and Caamaño.
