DePaul Global Asian Studies Program Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Webinar: Facing the New Wave of Anti-Asian Racism in the U.S.

We've seen surging hate crimes against Asians and Asian Americans in recent months. Since mid-March, the STOP AAPI Hate Reporting Center has received more than 1,500 reports of discrimination against Asians and Asian Americans across the country. Asian Americans have to fear both the coronavirus and being scapegoated and attacked for the disease. To celebrate the 2020 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we invite you to join this webinar featuring four leaders in Asian American communities in the greater Chicago area who will share their views and thoughts on how to grapple with this new wave of anti-Asian racism and what actions various Asian communities and the entire society should be taking to stop this dangerous trend and continue advancing social justice movements.
