Associate Professor and Director of Islamic World Studies and History of Art and Architecture Faculty member Mark DeLancey will give a talk, "African Art and the Colonial Encounter," as part of DPAM’s ongoing DePaul in the Arts lecture series. DeLancey will provide background on the African objects on view in Brendan Fernandes: The Living Mask and discuss his research interests as an art historian specializing in African and Islamic art and architecture.
