DePaul Opera Theatre Presents: The Merry Widow

Harry Silverstein, director

DePaul Opera Theatre presents Franz Lehár’s operetta masterpiece, The Merry Widow. At this extravagant affair, a bankrupt kingdom’s diplomats scramble to keep the beautiful and recently widowed Hanna Glawari, and her inherited millions, in the country. Filled with lilting music, stunning ladies, attentive bachelors and infamous cancan dancers, The Merry Widow is a delightful evening of comedy, matchmaking and merriment.

The production was delightful. The voices were wonderfully projected for college students. The acting was animated and authentic. A good value for the price.
