Dialogue with members of the Parents Circle - Families Forum
Tuesday, February 11, 2025 6pm to 8pm
About this Event
1010 West Webster Avenue Chicago, IL 60614
The Dialogue Collaborative invites you to join us for an evening of dialogue with members of the Parents Circle - Families Forum, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 6 – 8 p.m. at St. Vincent’s Church. Registration is required.
With its first meetings between Palestinians and Israelis taking place in Gaza in 1998, the Parents Circle - Families Forum (PCFF) is an organization led by people devoted to dialogue, collaboration and reconciliation. The PCFF seeks no new members; to join the group, one must have lost a family member to the conflict.
As state-sponsored efforts alone continue to fail to bring an end to the killing of civilians in the region, this event invites us to look through the eyes of grassroots activists whose courage and vision allow us to see the world we want to live in.
At a time when many are seeking power through amplifying fear of difference, the willingness of PCFF members to work together offers a new way of understanding both ourselves and those who do not share our identities, worldviews or experiences.
The Dialogue Collaborative is honored to host two members of the PCFF, Arab Aramin and Guy Elhanan, as practitioners in residence at DePaul. Their residency will begin with a dual narrative dialogue on Tuesday and continue with meetings with groups from around campus and Chicago.
The Dialogue Collaborative is happy to partner with the Grace School of Applied Diplomacy, the College of Communication, the Department of Political Science, the Department of International Studies, and the Vincentian Endowment Fund to host this event.
This event is open to the DePaul University community and members of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Registration is required and you will be asked for identification.
