"It's not you. It's law school."

Dis-Orientation leaves the stress inducing, competition invoking, scare tactics behind. The all-day event brings together new and current law students, progressive lawyers, legal workers, and community organizers to meet and discuss radical people's lawyering.

The National Lawyers Guild ("NLG") is a progressive bar association consisting of lawyers, law students, legal workers, and jailhouse lawyers. The NLG aims to serve people, "to the end that human rights shall be regarded as more sacred than property interests."

Each year, NLG Chicago hosts (Dis)Orientation to introduce students to the NLG and people's lawyering. This year the event will be held at DePaul Law School.
