Join the Mission and Ministry Faculty and Staff Engagement team for a casual, meaningful summer book reading and discussion with DePaul colleagues on this work of fiction, which weaves together many of the complex realities of global migration. A One Book, One Chicago selection, Hamid’s award winning fourth novel from 2017 is a compelling and ultimately hopeful human story of fleeing violence, seeking belonging, finding love, and persevering through difficulty, while simultaneously revealing much about aspects of the world’s geopolitical reality that many never see. The first 40 registrants who commit to attending at least one of the book discussions will receive a complimentary copy of the book.  Registration Required by Friday, June 18th.
