This year marks the 20th anniversary of the First-Year Program Writing Showcase, the celebratory event for our annual writing contest highlighting the creativity, insight, and skill of first-year writers from across the university. Students submit writing projects in a variety of formats for consideration, and a panel of faculty judges select standout works to be featured. Those selected will create digital posters representing their projects, which will be shared on our website and presented at the Showcase on May 19, 2026. This special evening brings together students, faculty, friends, and family to celebrate exceptional writing and recognize student achievement.
