Artist Kathryn Andrews, whose installation at DePaul Art Museum currently highlights every woman who has run for president in the history of the United States, will moderate a panel with Nasreen Alkhateeb, the photographer and official videographer for the Kamala Harris vice-presidential campaign; Dr. Christina R. Rivers, DePaul University Associate Professor of Political Science focused on African-American politics and voting rights; and, Dr. Kelly Dittmar, an Associate Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University and Director of Research with the Center for American Women and Politics at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. This discussion will cover much of the women’s suffrage movement and the sexism ingrained in politics throughout the United States, along with addressing issues of media coverage and the “presidential image”.

This program is in partnership with Artists For Democracy and is generously supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
