Great Teachers Ask Good Questions: Designing Discussions that Matter

In this 2 hour interactive workshop, we’ll explore how all courses can leverage online discussions, review some of the best practices for designing and assessing effective discussions, as well as describing the kinds of questions or discussions available and how they fit into a course’s measurable objectives. At the end of the workshop, participants will have time to write a sample discussion prompt and workshop it with attendees and facilitators.

Facilitated by Kevin Lyon (Center for Teaching and Learning) and Cari Vos (Center for Teaching and Learning)
