Health Equity and the Law: Legal Solutions to Improving Public Health
The 29th annual DePaul Law Review Symposium will focus on the ways in which the law may be utilized to improve health equity in Chicago and around the world. The Symposium will feature distinguished attorneys, public health and medical professionals presenting and analyzing topics such as the detrimental impact of racism on health, social and structural determinants of health, and the impact of law and policy on the fulfillment of the human right to health. Participants are encouraged to engage with speakers during sessions to facilitate solutions-based discussions about using law and policy as tools to improve the public’s health.
