Healthcare and Community Collaboration to Improve Mental Health: Early learnings from the work of the Alliance for Health Equity in Chicago and Cook County

Jess Lynch of the Illinois Public Health Institute and Alliance for Health Equity will provide an overview of the Alliance for Health Equity, a partnership of 30 hospitals, 6 health departments, and nearly 100 community stakeholders working to improve health equity, wellness, and quality of life across Chicago and Cook County. Jess will share some of the strategies that the Alliance for Health Equity has begun implementing related to mental health and substance use. Jess will also touch on related social and structural determinants of health including, housing, trauma informed care, community safety, and workforce and economic development.
