 ce the 1960s and Associate Professor of History and Affiliated Faculty mem
 ber in Black Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Todd-Brela
 nd's talk will explore the racial politics of education reform in Chicago 
 during the 1960s as it unfolded through community-based strategies of Blac
 k students\, educators\, parents\, and activists and the relationship to t
 he recent reorganization of the public sphere.\n\nThis event is free and o
