What does an In-House Counsel do? In-House Counsel are attorneys who work "in house" at an organization instead of at a law firm. While attorneys at law firms have multiple clients, in-house attorneys have one client: the company they work for. These attorneys often work as generalists and have experience with many areas of law. One big advantage of working in-house is the absence of the billable hour requirement, which can lead to better work/life balance.
