Many classes include group projects where faulty expect students to evaluate their peers and their own work. Often, faculty do not understand the best practices for defining group project goals and objectives. Once faculty create clear project goals and objectives, they do not clearly define expectations for peer evaluations. Faculty often assume that students already understand how to evaluate, but students often express confusion on what to do or they evaluate peers based on personality and not on group function and results. This workshop will offer strategies to define project goals and objectives as well as teach students good feedback practices.

Note that is an online workshop that will be hosted on Desire2Learn. It should take about two hours to complete, but you will have the entire week of Nov. 26th to do so.

Facilitated by Diane Tarkowski (College of Business).
