For three weeks this December, study India and its culture through the lens of film. Students prepare for their Bollywood experience during the fall quarter in ‘Beyond Bollywood’ with film screenings and discussions, lectures, idea development and equipment workshops. Introductory and advanced documentary techniques taught in the fall prepare students for the intensive cultural immersion and hands-on workshop during the December Intersession. Students collaborate with an NGO under the guidance of filmmakers from Whistling Woods International located in Film City, the filmmaking capital of India. Students also use their new knowledge and skills to create an original film or visual media project.
