January Donate-a-Day: Celebrate MLK Day at Soup for the Soul

All College of Law students and community members are invited to join the Pro Bono & Community Service Initiative (PBCSI) as we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day with service during our first Donate-A-Day of 2022 with UCAN and the GROWSS committee of the North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council’s Soup for the Soul program on Monday, January 17th! Soup for the Soul is a mutual aid program launched in late 2020 to help Lawndale families experiencing food insecurity.

Volunteers will help prepare soup and other items for distribution from 10:00am-2:00pm at the CCA Academy. Volunteers will then have the option, at 2:00pm, of helping with distribution at the Stone Temple Baptist Church.  Covid mitigations will be in place (including mask wearing at all times and social distancing).
