Liberal Studies Program Proposal Workshop

Proposal workshop offered for Chicago Quarter, Focal Point, Seminar on Race, Power, and Resistance

 

All DePaul full-time and part-time faculty are invited to attend a workshop about proposing Liberal Studies courses. The workshop will take place 11:00 a.m.-noon on Friday, Nov. 19, over Zoom. It will be led by John Shanahan, Michael Edwards & Doug Long from the Liberal Studies Program. Interested faculty should RSVP to firstyr@depaul.edu and they will be sent a link.

 

The workshop will cover proposals for:

·        Chicago Quarter classes:

o   Discover Chicago (LSP 110 and HON 110)

o   Explore Chicago (LSP 111 and HON 111)

·        Focal Point Seminars (LSP 112)

·        LSP 200 – Seminar on Race, Power, and Resistance (formerly Seminar on Multiculturalism in the U.S.)

 

The proposal deadlines are:

·          Chicago Quarter: Dec. 15

·          Focal Point Seminars and Seminar on Race, Power, and Resistance:

o   To teach Autumn Quarter, proposals must be submitted by Feb. 1 (of the previous academic year). Note: Focal Point Seminars are only offered in Winter and Spring Quarters.

o   To teach Winter Quarter, proposals must be submitted by May 1 (of the previous academic year).

o   To teach Spring Quarter, proposals must be submitted by Oct. 1 (of the same academic year).
