During the first two weeks of winter quarter 2021, DePaul will be observing a 14-day quarantine period to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Like everyone in Chicago and around the world, the university community has faced many challenges and this quarantine period to begin the academic quarter presents another new challenge for everyone.

DePaul is working hard to promote the health and safety of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, DePaul Athletics, in partnership with the Departments of Residential Education, Housing, Dining and Student Centers, the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness and the Student Government Association, have teamed up to create a Mental Health Break Area at Wish Field beginning on Saturday, Jan. 9 through Friday, Jan. 15 for students quarantined in residence halls on campus. This space will allow students to get outside of the confines of their room for fresh air in a safe and controlled environment. A number of safety protocols including masking, physical distancing and a confirmed negative COVID-19 test will be in place, among other precautions.
