The APIDA Cultural Center will be hosting an event to reframe conversations about mental health through a disability justice lens. Led by Joy Messinger, MSW, MPH, this workshop will discuss the medical vs social model, sanism, neurodiversity, and the tenets of disability justice. We hope that by facilitating these discussions around ableism, we can shift away from destigmatization and towards collective care for our APIDA communities and beyond
