About this Event
Free EventNetworking is an essential part of the job search and career development processes. Many students feel uncomfortable talking to strangers or unsure of how to make connections with employers at a job fair or event. The Career Center and Steelcase are teaming up to bring you some successful strategies for making connections and improving your networking skills to assist you in your job search.
In this workshop, students will learn ways to:
1) Network with employers via professional social media sites such as Linkedin.
2) Use informational interviews as a tool to connect with employers.
3) Maintain contact with employers after a networking event.
Location: Loop Career Center 9500
Students will also have the chance to network with recruiters from Steelcase after the workshop.
The Employer Insight Workshops Series is a new interactive series dedicated to providing students with opportunities to connect with employers.
YOU MUST APPLY TO ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP. You will be prompted to complete a short three-question application when you register. Your application must be approved by a Career Center staff member.
