New Student Service Day (NSSD) invites DePaul’s Chicago Quarter (Discover and Explore) students to come together with the communities of Chicago for a day of service and reflection. For the newest members of the DePaul community, the day is structured as an invitation to strengthen our connection to one another and put our Vincentian mission and values into practice.
Students will spend the day volunteering at a unique service site and when they return to campus will be given to the opportunity to build relationships with community partners and student service organizations at the Service and Justice Fair in the Quad.
The morning program will be held at the McGrath/Phillips Arena. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. Students will head to their community partner site by taking public transportation or walking to their site and back to DePaul University.
Lunch will be provided to all volunteers at the Service and Justice Fair located in the DePaul Quad from Noon to 3:30 p.m.
