Join the Office of Student Employment for our January Manager Support Network session! Each session will include a themed topic and open Q&A time with OSE staff and other managers. These are casual, lunch-n-learn virtual sessions. 

Here’s the info for January:  

Monday Jan. 13, 12:00 - 1:00 

Topic: Mental Health 1st Aid for Managers -- We will be joined by Enrique Silva from UCAPS, who will educate managers on the practice of Mental Health 1st Aid as managers. While managers should not be taking on the role of "therapist" for student employees, we are often the first line of support that students have. Enrique will provide understanding of warning signs of struggle and share tools and strategies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of student employees. He will also guide reflection for what the experience is like for managers as students' support system.
