Our Literacies Matter: Reading the World with Black Girls

The WRD department and our co-sponsors are excited to welcome to campus Dr. Elaine Richardson, Professor of Literacy Studies from The Ohio State University, on Thursday May 3, at 4:30 pm. 

Dr. E is a multi-dimensional personality—a professor, performer, artist, and speaker—with an inspirational message of spiritual and educational empowerment. Her research interests include the liberation and critical literacy education of people of the Black African Diaspora.
