At this upcoming event, DNI will be talking with Sarah Levesque. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas Sarah Levesque first came to Chicago to study at DePaul University where she received her BA in Environmental Studies, Economics, and GIS and her MS in Sustainable Management in 2018. During those four years Sarah also studied abroad twice, to Peru and Belgium and worked at the European Parliament. She also held the position of Senator for Sustainability in SGA and completed published research on LCAs with Dr. Klimas. After graduating she designed and lead the Compass Group (a food service company) sustainability programs for the Chicago university accounts including Northwestern, UChicago, DePaul, and UIC. Highlights of her time there included managing one of the largest university composting programs in the country, working with engineering students to build a personal plastics recycling system, and sourcing over one million lbs. of local food products from Midwestern farmers. She left Compass in November 2021 and started at Americold Realty a publicly traded cold storage warehouse company where she is currently developing their ESG strategy.
