School of Design Workshop: Design for Social Impact

We will learn the basics of guerilla projection and the concepts of hacking advertising as a means of social and political awareness. We will discuss the first amendment and how this powerful tool can be utilized in the challenging of the social status quo, corrupt governments and apathetic citizens. Participants will create work focusing on social topics of personal interest by the execution of strong research that will be utilized in creation of large scale building projections in the city of Chicago.
