Sewing Workshop

Curious how to use our sewing machines? Join us for a workshop centered around the basics.

About this Event

Participants will learn: Operations of our two sewing machines, including loading threads and bobbins, loading the needle, basic sewing, and best practices. The workshop provides all materials and a sample project. Instructions can be found on our website at irl.depaul.edu.

Arrive on time! While this is NOT an authorization workshop, late arrivals will be turned away. Walk-in's will be accepted for no-show spots. There is no quiz at the end of this workshop, but again, leaving early means missing out on valuable knowledge.

This workshop is free and open to all currently enrolled DePaul University students/staff/faculty. We do not accept those who are not DePaul affiliated. Alumni must provide an alumni ID card. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to machine use.

Participants seeking disability-related accommodations are invited to contact idearealizationlabdpu@gmail.com before the workshop so we may have the proper assistance and accommodations prepared.
