Bridget Almas will be talking about her work with Perseids and her current project, Alpheois (http://alpheios.net).
Bridget is currently Executive Director and Software Architect for The Alpheios Project, building evidence-based, open-source software to support worldwide study of classical languages and literatures. In her prior role at Tufts University, Bridget was the technical lead on the Perseids Project and before that the Perseus Digital Library. She has previously acted in several leadership roles in the Research Data Alliance and as a liaison between the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) and RDA.
Her other areas of interest include humanities and data sharing (http://rd-alliance.org), preserving and sustaining the software behind digital humanities projects, developing shared services and infrastructure for digital humanities projects, and code reuse in digital humanities.
