Earn five law school credits studying human rights in Costa Rica for 3 1/2 weeks, July 23-August 14. The program leaves you the previous 10 weeks free for a legal job or internship you may have this summer. In addition to coursework on human rights in Latin America, students will work on issues of immigration abuse, discrimination and poverty in the Nicaraguan migrant community of Guarari, Heredia. All courses are in English. Students will visit one of the world's top two international human rights courts and an NGO handling over 150 human rights cases each year. There will be two long weekends built into the program to allow students to take advantage of Costa Rica's spectacular nature preserves, rain forests and beaches.
