The United States Supreme Court is set to deliver its decision in Moore v. Harper later this spring. Questions and concerns regarding the future of voting rights and the landscape of our elections have sprung up from a wide array of sources such as members of the legal community, activists, and voters themselves.
This symposium will discuss Moore v. Harper and its potential outcomes through presentations as well as a panel that includes members of the academic community, practitioners, and activists.
Featured Speaker and Panel Moderator: Professor Manoj Mate
Panelists: Derek T. Muller of Iowa Law, Ami Gandhi of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, and Dr. Christina Rivers of DePaul University.
The Symposium will be presented in person and online. There is a room cap of 70 in-person attendees, and online participants will receive a link from InReach to view the presentation just ahead of the event.
No proof of vaccination is required of in-person guests and masks are optional. However, DePaul is a mask-friendly university, and wearing a mask is highly recommended for all indoor spaces. These rules are subject to change in accordance with public health guidance.
DePaul University College of Law is an accredited Illinois MCLE provider. This program has been approved for up to 2 hours of general CLE credits.
