Join the DePaul Center for Animal Law, the Jaharis Health Law Institute, and Erin Lewis and Ed McCusker from Merck for a look at "Threats to Animal Health." Our speakers will discuss the landscape for animal health products, the dangers of counterfeiting and tampering, and how to build a case for prosecution.

Bios:
Erin Lewis - Associate Director for Global Online Investigations
Erin has been leading the global online program at Merck for the past 5 years, focusing on monitoring, enforcement, and investigations around instances of counterfeit, diverted, or tampered goods across Merck’s entire product portfolio. Erin has been working in the online brand protection space for around 15 years managing global programs for companies like Luxottica Group, Apple, Chanel, and Monster Energy.
Ed McCusker - Associate Director, North America Investigations and Global Lead for Animal Health
Ed joined the Merck team in June 2022 bringing experience from his prior role as a Special Agent with the US Food and Drug Administration-Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI). During his 12 years with OCI, he successfully investigated and led a wide variety of cases that included the counterfeit, misbranded, and adulteration of controlled and non-controlled drugs, including animal drugs; medical devices, biologics, and tobacco.
